3 months old

Logan is already 3 months old - I cannot believe how fast it has gone by!
He is amazing us more and more every day! He is laughing out loud, cooing and babbling alot (he is a talker!), blowing bubbles, smiling, and trying to sit up. I love just watching him because he is so enthralled with the world around him and I love seeing it again through his eyes!

I now understand what my mom means when she always used to say, "You can never love someone as much as you love your own child". I feel like I love him more every day! Chuck and I feel SO blessed and can't imagine what we did with ourselves before Logan came along :)

Daddy teaching Logan his letters and numbers - already! :)

I LOVE that smile.... and those dimples.... and the chubby cheeks....

Merry Christmas 2008

Merry Christmas!!

We had a wonderful Christmas with our family! We attended the CandleLight Service at our church - it was amazing! Logan was enthralled with the music and the lights. He was smiling and cooing for almost the whole service :) Then we had a delicious dinner that Kristin made. Christmas has a whole new meaning for us this year - we realize more and more each day how blessed we are and what an amazing family we have!!

Logan loved to just stare at all the Christmas lights!

Look Mom, I have a candy cane!

I loved this little Santa suit...

Yeah! Presents! :)

What a Blessing!!

I have to start this by stating that I have the MOST amazing husband in the whole world....

I went back to work yesterday after being home with Logan for almost 12 weeks. I had been dreading this day since I delivered him back in September. It was hard enough going back to work but the 12 hour shifts made it seem impossible.

But my loving husband was so supportive and took the day off, so he could be home with Logan for my first day back at work. Chuck was soooo excited (really he was!) to take Logan for a whole day. He said that he wanted to experience what I had been doing all along (God DOES answer our prayers ;)

When I came home that night, Chuck and Logan were still in one piece :) and as happy as can be! And to my GREAT surprise, Chuck had done laundry, ran the dishwasher, AND mopped the floors downstairs!!!! How lucky can a woman get!

So I think that this transition into a working mom will go smoother than I had anticipated and it is all because God blessed me with a wonderful family! I had always wanted to be a stay-at-home mom but I now think I will be able to juggle both. Thank you Chuck and Kristin for being such a great support system for this working mom!!!!

Logan Meets Santa Claus

As any new mom, I just HAD to take Logan to the Superstition Springs Mall to meet Santa Claus. It is going to be his first Christmas, after all :)

This afternoon we sat in line at the mall for over an hour.... God must really love us because Logan was content just being held and watching the commotion around him. He even stayed awake for the picture and fell asleep as soon as we laid him back in the car seat. He was so patient and didn't fuss at all.... What a good little boy!

10 weeks old

Logan is 10 weeks old today... I cannot believe how time flies!
He went to his 2 month doctor visit last Thursday and he now officially weighs 13 lbs 1.5 oz and is in the 75th percentile for both his height and weight. I guess Mommy is feeding him well :)

Look how big I have grown!

Logan loves his tummy time.... for about 10 minutes max :)

Family Pictures

While my family was visiting from Montana, we had some professional pictures taken because it was the first time we were all together since I was in high school... They turned out pretty good considering Logan cried the whole time. (It is hard being 8 weeks old and sitting still for pictures after an hour and a half in a small waiting room packed with people) Poor little guy! :(

Thanksgiving 2008

My mom, sister Carly, brother Cody, and my brother's girlfriend Athena have been here for a week visiting from Montana. We did tons of shopping, ate wonderful Arizona cuisine, played laser tag, cheered on the Phoenix Suns, and of course, spent time with Logan.

Time Flies

Logan is already 7 1/2 weeks old. I cannot believe how time flies... When he was born he weighed 7 lbs 1 oz and was 20 inches long. At his first doctor's visit at 4 days old, he weighed 6 lbs 13 oz. At 3 weeks old, he weighed 8 lbs 13 oz. And now he weighs a staggering 10 lbs 10 oz and is 22 inches long! I am so amazed at how fast this little boy is growing.

He does something new every day and I love every minute of it. He started grinning, smiling, and cooing a lot more so I thought I should post some new pictures!!

I was able to catch this sly little grin the other day...

Logan's First Halloween

Logan was able to enjoy his first Halloween with lots of family. His Great Grandma Dorothy, Grandma Donna, and Grandpa Mike flew in from Montana today. And his Auntie Kristin, Uncle John, and cousins Kayli, Brooklyn, and Kyler came over for trick-or-treating. It was a great experience and we are so blessed to have such a wonderful time spent with family!!

Logan's First Phoenix Suns Game

Our first Suns game as a family!
Logan attended his first Phoenix Suns game last night. Mommy was finally brave enough to take him out into public. He slept right through all the noise and chaos and we made it through the whole game. We got home at midnight and then Logan was awake almost the rest of the night... Mommy was exhausted. But we are glad that we could enjoy a game together as a family!!

Go Suns!

Logan slept through the entire game!

Our little blessing!!

My sis Kristin suggested that I start a blog, so here it is.

The most important part of my life right now is our son, Logan. He was born on Sunday September 28th 2008 at 6:24 pm. He weighed 7 lbs 1 oz and was 20 inches long. His birth was a wonderful experience because Chuck and Kristin were both there for me through the whole process. It has been a wonderful two weeks since Logan joined our lives!

His first picture! He was so alert and ready to meet the world!

8 days old. He is so adorable that I take pictures all day long... Must be a new mom thing :)

Most of our family and friends live far away and haven't even had a chance to see Logan yet. So I will try to keep this updated and post new pictures of him as I take them.
