Happy 4th Birthday to our busy, funny, articulate, stubborn, cuddly, wild, spunky, smart, and strong little, sorry BIG, boy!! We cannot believe the little man you are becoming. It makes me sad to think that you will be in full-time Preschool this fall but I love how excited you are to go to school like your big brother. I'm thankful that even though you are growing up so fast, you always make sure to greet Mommy and Daddy with a HUGE hug when we come home from work. We love you Landon!!!!!

4 years old
Landon has been talking about turning 4 for the last 3 months... I have never seen a kiddo SO excited for his birthday! In his eyes, being 4 meant that he is "officially" one of the big boys. Landon picked to have a birthday party with all his family and friends at Krazy Air trampoline park and it was an absolute blast!

Raising them up the way they should go
We are far from perfect parents, but we have agreed on one important aspect of raising our boys. Our boys will be raised in church, and we will continuously strive to learn more and teach them about God. They will see us praying when times are good and when they are bad. They will see us reaching out to God for answers to our questions. And most importantly, our boys will see that even though we don't have all the answers, God is in control! And He wants our lives to be joyful, abundant, and full of love and promise.
This weekend we had Colby dedicated at church just like his big brothers were 3 years ago. We are so thankful for the love and support from our family and friends!
Auntie, Uncle John, and kiddos are always there to support our boys in whatever they do and for that, we will forever be grateful!

Colby
Our little boy is 4 months old today! Wow!! I've been hanging on to every moment with our sweet Colby, inhaling his yummy baby smell and enjoying the infant moments. As sad as I am to admit it, he may very well be our last baby. It is bittersweet watching him change and grow every day because I want to keep him little at the same time. These are some pictures that I just took this morning, he is such an expressive little boy!
At 4 months old, Colby has discovered his feet and loves to play with them. He is always sucking on his fingers and hands. And if he doesn't have his hands in his mouth, he is "talking", almost yelling really, to whoever will listen. He loves to be held and carried around so he really protests if you set him down, even for a minute. He may be just a little bit spoiled ;) He loves his Mommy but his face just lights up when his big brothers or Daddy walk into the room!
Colby is so strong and is already trying to sit up by himself. He does great on his tummy time and tries to push forward. He wants so badly to see what his brothers are doing that I think he will crawl (and walk!) earlier than I am ready for ;)

Feeling very thankful this Easter
I cannot express the overwhelming emotions I am feeling this Easter. As we sat in the pew at church listening to Pastor Jason speak about Jesus, I am overcome with sadness. The look on Mary's face as she watches her son being tortured, beaten and hung on the cross absolutely rips me apart. I cannot help but think of our 3 beautiful little boys and how her heart must have just ached to witness that. Thank you Jesus for taking the sin of the world and nailing it to the cross so that my family and I may enjoy an abundant and ever-lasting life in heaven!
Easter has a completely different meaning to me now that I am a Mom. I'm feeling extra thankful for our 3 happy healthy loving little boys and a husband who puts his family and his faith first. Our boys have such a great example in their Daddy and I pray they grow up to be kind, generous, hard-working, loving, devoted men just like him!

Time to adjust my sails
Our sweet little Colby is 3 months old. Which also means time for Mommy to go back to work. I've always struggled when my maternity leave ends and I have to go back to work but this time seemed especially tough! I'm not sure why... So here I am, one weeks back at work, trying to deal with my emotions and adjust my sails.
I am counting my blessings that I have such an extremely hard-working husband who puts in LONG hours at work which allows me the opportunity to work part-time.
I finally have a job that I truly enjoy and I love that I am home by 3-4pm three days a week instead of being gone 13-14 hour days. I really believe that I have found the perfect balance between working and spending time with my family. Now I just need to get rid of my "mommy guilt" and adjust those sails!

Best Vacation Ever!
We were able to convince Grandma and Grandpa and our Merwin cousins to join us for the weekend! We all stayed in an awesome secluded, peaceful cabin in Greer, AZ. We were surrounded by gorgeous trees with a private lake just down the hill. We spent our days laughing, fishing, playing games, telling stories, geocaching, and making memories!! It was, by far, one of my favorite vacations!!!
