MONTANA .... Big blue skies, great weather, open plains, family, friends, awesome people.... Oh and did I say... great weather!
These are just some of the things I look forward to when we fly back up to this wonderful state where Chuck and I were both born and raised. We plan at least one trip up there every summer to enjoy time with our family and friends.
And I have to say, God must really love us....
*The weather was fantastic! 75 degree days with a couple of thunderstorms and cool evenings
This is unusual for August in eastern MT. Typically, it is very hot and humid so we enjoyed every second by going for lots of walks, playing outside, and sleeping with the windows open.

*Chuck and I were both worried about the plane ride and all the driving now that Logan is older and has a hard time sitting still. But, as always, God is so great! On both flights, we were able to sit in a row with 3 seats so we could sit Logan between us and give him some space. It was great and Logan was such a great little traveler :-)

MAKOSHIKA STATE PARK
Chuck and I used to hike out in Makoshika State Park almost every weekend when we were in high school so we made sure that we took advantage of the weather and took Logan up hiking several days while we were in Glendive.

THE GLENDIVE DINOSAUR AND FOSSIL MUSEUM
We visited the Glendive Dinosaur and Fossil Museum and it was SO amazing. The details and work that went into the exhibits are very well done.

DAWSON COUNTY FAIR
We took Logan to his very first county fair. It used to be a big deal when Chuck and I were younger, but now I think the fairs are becoming a thing of the past. I used to be in 4-H so I at least wanted Logan to experience it once. We went and saw all the animals - horses, sheep, pigs, steers, ducks, goats, turkeys, you name it....
It was cold, rainy, and windy that day so I don't think Logan really enjoyed it too much, but Chuck and I were able to get our fill of greasy, yummy fair food!
Checking out the horses
We need our caffeine to make it through the day ;-)
