Our Baby Boy is ONE year old!!

I'm feeling mixed emotions with this post... On one hand, I am beyond blessed with my sweet, loving, active, healthy, beautiful boys but on the other, they are growing up WAY too fast!

Landon is ONE year old today! 

It completely boggles my mind that it has already been an entire year since Landon joined our family on that beautiful, peaceful Sunday morning. Yes, it was peaceful... I had an easy, short labor with him and it couldn't have been more perfect. I don't remember what it was like before Landon was here, but I feel like his first birthday snuck up on me really quick.

We had a BBQ/Birthday Party while we were in Montana 3 weeks ago, so that Landon could celebrate this big milestone with his entire family! It was a great day (even though it was raining all day!) and we really enjoyed spending time with both sides of our family (missed you Carly & Michael!).

My mom made all of our cakes for us as we were growing up and I am trying to pass on that tradition. So my Mom and I made Landon a "smash" cake for him to tear into and then a larger cake for the rest of us :)

At 12 months old Landon:

~ goes for sitting to standing all by himself

~ takes about 4-5 steps at a time, but still prefers crawling because it is faster 

~ has to keep up with his big brother and follows him everywhere!

~ is still a Mommy's boy but loves to play and hang out with Daddy more and more

~ jabbers non-stop "Mama" "Dada" "Hi" "Baba" "Nuhni" (Night Night)

~ still an amazing sleeper. 11-12 hrs/night and one 2-3 hr nap

~ has already started on milk but isn't really a fan but will drink cup after cup of water

~ down to just one bottle at night before he goes to sleep

~ eats everything in sight as long as it is what we are eating and absolutely refuses baby food

~ loves to swim and enjoys swimming lessons every week

~ he is very observant and catches on very quickly (Uh oh!)

~ is a little monkey and loves to climb on/over/around/under/through everything!

~ will still cuddle with Mommy which makes me happy!

~ loves to dance, especially to Mickey Mouse

~ loves to play Peek-A-Boo, This Little Piggy, and Patty-cake

~ can clap his hands, say "So Big", and wave bye bye

Auntie Kristin thought of an amazing backdrop for Landon's 1 year pictures. While we were in Glendive, MT, she found this old railcar with little red steps that said "Caution - Watch Your Step". Couldn't be more perfect for a one year old who loves cars/trains and is learning to walk! Thank you Auntie for the amazing memories you capture in your photos!

Happy 1st Birthday Landon!! We love you SO very much!!
